The Board of Trustees of the University System of New Hampshire recently approved a new instructional program offered at Plymouth State University leading to a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology.  This new major focuses on biology at the molecular level and reflects the increasing importance of science at the biology/chemistry interface.  In addition, the program emphasizes the importance of independent laboratory work and includes a required senior research project.  The program provides a broad yet focused approach to the field and is well-suited for students with a variety of career objectives.
