I propose several ways here to get away from the traditional research paper.  The three-search paper incorporates direct research and personal experience into the writing.  The multi-genre paper presents another way of presenting information.  One advantage to these formats is that they preclude the purchase of papers by those inclined to cheat.  They are also more fun to write and MUCH more fun to read.

Be advised that the multi-genre paper requires more time to do well. I would allow at least half of the semester.
